General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part Time, Temporary Legal Intern. The Legal Intern will help with a research project involving constitutional law issues (Approx. 15 to 20 hours per week).

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Legal Intern will:
  • Research constitutional law issues.
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents such as letters and memorandas.
  • Administrative assistance as needed; perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have strong research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while still working as a team member in the department
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office, email and internet browser programs.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have completed Constitutional Law 1 & 2 courses at an accredited law school. Completion of classes in Employment law would also be beneficial.
  • Must be working towards or have completed Juris Doctor.
  • Member of Law Review or top 15% of class.
