Posting Information: The primary role of the ADAA is to insure the effective alignment of all academic programs to meet the institutional mission, CHHS strategic goals and standards and procedures of accrediting bodies. The ADAA reports to and will work closely with the Dean with the following duties and responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide vision and support to the ongoing assessment and implementation of the CHHS strategic plan. 2. Organize and implement data management strategies to support the CHHS academic offerings. 3. Supports the quality and integrity of academic programs through coordinated assessment and planning with college, institution and all accrediting bodies 4. Support academic initiatives that enhance the student's experience and achievement. 5. Facilitates the development and achievement of financial support from a variety of governmental, corporate and private funding sources. 6. Serve as the College' representative to WCU and select outside agencies, organizations and institutions. 7. Participate in teaching, research and service in health programs that will advance the mission of the institution. 8. Remain abreast of current literature, research, issues and innovations in higher education, especially administration, and the health sciences. 9. Leads academic initiatives that enhance the student's experience and achievement. 10. Carry out other assignments and duties, as assigned by the Dean of the CHHS and as appropriate to the position of Associate Dean.
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Minimum of a doctoral degree, a health credential and experience represented in the College of Health and Human Sciences.A minimum of three years experience in an administrative position at a college or university, preferably a health science setting. Experience should include: 1. academic administration 2. teaching experience 3. curriculum development, implementation and evaluation 4. development of new educational programs for health professionals 5. Scholarly track record, including publications, proposal/grant development and administration 6. demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. The applicant should have demonstrated achievements to qualify for faculty rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The percent effort and salary adjustment are negotiable.
