Term: This is a Temporary appointment
This is a 50% time position that will assist SciMed Graduate Research Scholars administration with a wide variety of professional development for graduate scholars, including large and small training programs, special symposia, and on-line resources. In that capacity, this person will work on program development, assessment activities, and research and reporting on effective practices in higher education. This position will serve as a logistical coordinator for seminar activities, prepare and publish printed and on-line materials for graduate student professional development, assist with data reports related to recruitment, retention and professional development, assist with website management, and maintain files and archival information.
In addition, this person will assist with the administration of Advanced Opportunity Fellowships, by preparing materials, forms, and letters, assisting with and attending a monthly evening event, scheduling meetings, maintaining databases, and other duties as assigned.
The preferred candidate will have a strong commitment and experience with underrepresented STEM graduate education, and an interest in educational administration.
Schedule will be based on programmatic need and timing of various student events/activities. There may be some evening hours needed. Schedule will be agreed upon by Student Services Coordinator and SciMed-GRS Director and University Services Program Assistant.
