We are growing and looking for talented personnel to join our core team. We are looking for a hands-on, customer-facing, technical person to join our professional services/customer implementation team. The ideal candidate is proactive, entrepreneurial, methodical and process-oriented while battle tested through years of enterprise product implementations. rfXcel's enterprise solutions are deployed as either SaaS applications or as on-premise applications and are integrated with multiple trading partner systems. The candidate will need to work with cross functional teams from multiple internal rfXcel organizations as well as multiple external organizations from rfXcel customers and customers' trading partners. The candidate can lead cross-functional discussions while driving problems towards a solution even under ambiguous circumstances. Ultimately, the candidate is passionate about ensuring success at every customer implementation.

Responsibilities - What you will be doing

Implementation Engineers rely on a diverse technical skill-set. Implementation Engineers are not expected immediately to be masters of the full spectrum of technologies used, but are expected to quickly become technical gurus and masters of all skills required to implement rfXcel products for rfXcel customers. This is a customer-facing hands-on technical job.
  • Plan and manage system-to-system integrations between the rfXcel products and external systems (customers' systems and customers' trading partners' systems). The following are the key daily responsibilities for this position:
    • Integration, testing and troubleshooting
    • Review customer's technical integration specifications
    • Create data integration flow diagrams and related documents
    • Configure rfXcel products to meet the functional requirements including configuration of functional areas and technical areas (e.g. integration interfaces, integration maps, web services, transport protocols, data flows, etc.)
    • Interface with Engineering and Product Management about new requirements (mainly integration requirements) to add functionality to the product roadmap
    • Attend customer meetings and educate them on rfXcel's products' integration interfaces and functional capabilities
    • Provide on-going technical oversight during customer implementations, understand the implementation effort; communicate progress to customer and project manager
    • Provide demonstrations to clients throughout the project life-cycle
    • Manage customer escalations as necessary and driving issues to resolution
  • Maintain working proficiency in rfXcel products and technologies through self-directed and formal training
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including sales, support, validation, engineering, QA, and product management, to ensure successful completion of customer engagements
  • This role will need to work extensively with the offshore team in India on daily-basis

Qualifications - What you will need for this position
  • Strong technical skills and hands-on experience of at least 4 years is required in the following areas:
    • XML, XSD, XSLT - required
    • SOA and Web Services, SOAP UI - required
    • SQL, databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.) - required
    • GS1 EPCIS - highly preferred
    • EDI, IDOC, HL7, other integration data formats - preferred
    • Mule, Smooks, Camel, NiFi, Talend, Pentaho, Informatica,, other integration frameworks/tools - preferred
    • AS2, SFTP, FTPS, FTP, etc. - preferred
    • Groovy, Python, other scripting languages - preferred
    • Software development experience in Java, JEE, Scala - preferred
  • Customer-facing hands-on recent Professional Services/Enterprise Product Implementation experience is highly preferred
  • Experience in the following industries/domains is highly preferred:
    • Serialization, track and trace, pharmaceutical compliance reporting
    • Supply chain, logistics, warehouse management, order management, manufacturing, inventory management, • Experience with SaaS or B2B integrations is highly preferred
  • Experience with deployment architectures and middleware concepts
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze the customer requirements and translate them into functional requirements
  • Ability to create product demonstrations based on client needs
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment in which the requirements are not always well defined and requirements and priorities change frequently
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining sight of the big picture
  • Must be able to spend substantial time interfacing with the offshore team in India on daily-basis
  • Travel is required, including possibility of overseas travel - the candidate will need to visit rfXcel customers and/or customers' trading partners
