The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer will be in charge of engineers are in charge of providing engineering support for network connectivity issues, as well as working as a liaison for our clients and escalation teams. They are responsible for providing first level of support and triage to client environments ranging from wired and wireless system connection and hardware to servers and services.
The NOC engineers will monitor service & device up time. They will configure and install networking equipment as needed, as well as actively participate in upgrading projects. Another task performed by the NOC engineer includes performing maintenance in network hardware devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, phone systems.
Strong interpersonal skills are required. Strong customer services skills are required. Handling a variety of tasks and prioritizing those tasks will be a must. They must work effectively on their own, but also work well in a team environment.
2-4 Years of IT experience or equivalent education
Certifications are a plus, but not required
Experience with NOC or Help Desk a plus
Experience with Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare a plus

- Identify, categorize and respond to client problems
- Create trouble tickets and perform first level triage
- Manage changes, upgrades, improvements and integration
- Monitor and maintain client environment, including responding to tickets.
- Work with tier 2 and 3 escalation, manufacturers, and ISPs as needed to ensure highest level of service
- Work directly with clients on their needs
