School of Theatre.
The Florida State University School of Theatre invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Performance. We are seeking an artist and collaborator with significant experience in acting and/or directing. The successful candidate will teach three practical courses per semester. The position begins in August 2018.
Responsibilities include: teaching foundational performance courses in the liberal arts-based BA program; teaching acting courses in the BFA program; mentoring students in their academic and creative activities; maintaining an active professional career appropriate for a faculty at a research university.

The position requires an MFA or a PhD in an appropriate field and 4 years of experience with demonstrable ability as an instructor. We are looking for a candidate whose strengths will complement those of the current faculty.
