Director of Field Operations (Reg FT)

General Summary:
Administers and supervises information technology services and staff at each campus and College centers to ensure that desktop equipment is functional, up-to-date and meets the needs of students, faculty and staff.

Job Specifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science or related field and a minimum of six years related experience. Good customer support skills. Ability to understand the intricacies of the College operations. Technically proficient and accomplished in area of expertise.

Job Duties:
1. Communicates effectively, supports the Mission of CCAC, and foster a service-oriented and team mindset.
2. Coordinates projects using acceptable project management tools that facilitate collaboration among stakeholders.
3. Manages daily activities of field staff including reviewing tickets and prioritizing work flow.
4. Collaborates with management team to develop, implement and coordinate services, policies and procedures that are uniform college-wide.
5. Coordinates the procurement and rollout of new desktop equipment annually.
6. Chairs work groups to provide more efficient IT services to the user community.
7. Represents IT in resolving campus issues with faculty, staff and students.
8. Leads staff in training and development; resolves staff issues.
9. Administers and oversees capital and operating budget.
10. Evaluates requests for IT services from campus personnel and determines needs.
11. Reviews IT related purchase requisitions to ensure compatibility and adherence to College standards.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
