Recruitment Coordinator/Business Advisor
This position will be responsible for coordinating recruitment for undergraduate and graduate programs, developing and maintaining relationships with constituents, maintaining recruitment materials for the College, including websites. Other duties as assigned by the Dean. This position will require frequent regional travel.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Experience with recruiting for college level programs at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Experience in dealing with external constituents for recruitment purposes- including community colleges and high schools. Experience with maintaining databases and updating websites, as well as updating recruitment materials.
Responsibilities: Recruit graduate and undergraduate students for the Arthur J Bauernfeind College of Business: Create and implement a new recruitment plan for the College of Business to include all undergraduate and graduate programs; Keep up-to-date recruiting materials about our programs to distribute and display at events; Set up automated communications to prospective students; Prepare the COB presence at recruitment events as requested by the office of recruitment: Racer Days, Thoroughbred Days, etc.; Meet with prospective students during campus visits; Administer/Run Project Leadership (leadership conference for high school students; Establish strong relationships with students and advisors within the FBLA chapters located at high schools within our service region. This position will also provide business advising support for the Center for Undergraduate Business Advising. Maintain a list of inquiries received for data/tracking purposes. Serve on recruitment-related Advisory Boards and explore advisory board opportunities with other local schools in the 18 county service region. Liaise with some external constituents for recruitment purposes – including Community Colleges (advisers, faculty, administrators, etc) and High Schools (teachers, guidance counselor, KDE). Maintain the websites for CUBA. Develop and manage Racer Academy COB classes offered in the high schools by high school teachers via recruiting schools, credentialing high school teachers, awarding scholarships when needed, providing instructor training, and assessing issues as they arise. Will be responsible for all duties related to the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society including locating potential inductees, organizing tapping ceremony in the spring, and all correspondence required for the organization. Reintroduce the Business Ambassador Program to provide supplemental support for recruitment activities within the College of Business.
Preferred: Master’s degree preferred.
