Associate Director Entrepreneurship, San Francisco
Farmer School of Business/Institute for Entrepreneurship: The Associate Director, San Francisco will have a
range of responsibilities related to advancing the teaching, research, and service activities of the Institute for
Entrepreneurship and Farmer School of Business in San Francisco to include: developing an expansion plan
and feasibility plan; building on existing programmatic activities and workshops; increasing engagement with
Miami alumni founders, funders and advisors of entrepreneurial organizations; directing activities related to all
financial matters (invoicing, collecting, and managing) of San Francisco activities including financial matters
of developing and executing grant; pursuing external funding through grant writing; improving external
communications; developing activities including seminars, internships, and course projects; assisting with
activities for the Institute for Entrepreneurship and FSB including: recruiting host companies, managing
student experiences, overseeing on-the- ground operations of Institute for Entrepreneurship and FSB activities
in San Francisco and Bay Area; other entrepreneurship and FSB duties as assigned.
Require: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; three years of experience in business or related field;
experience and understanding of entrepreneurship (as demonstrated by coursework or professional experience);
resident of San Francisco area by date of appointment; excellent written and oral presentation skills;
willingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends; ability to adapt within entrepreneurial
start-up environment; and willingness to travel. Miami University will not sponsor H-1B work authorization

Preferred Qualifications: M.B.A. or advanced degree in related field; four to five years of experience in
business or related field; experience with entrepreneurial and high technology organizations in the
entrepreneurial ecosystem; and experience developing and promoting new programs or events.
