Duties: The University of Pennsylvania Department of Radiology is seeking qualified candidates for a staff position focused on lung inflammation studies. The successful candidate will hold at least a Bachelor's degree in biological or physical science (biology, chemistry, physics or related engineering disciplines). A familiarity with medical imaging, histology, and standard wet lab and surgical techniques is of particular value in this position. The ability to perform and carefully document experimental studies is of paramount importance; a demonstrated track record in this area is a prerequisite for consideration. Successful candidates will also demonstrate a combination of excellent communication skills and the ability to learn new tasks quickly and thoroughly.

The candidate will work with an experienced team of clinicians and preclinical researchers who will be able to provide guidance in specific techniques and study design; because the position will require significant training in these areas.
The successful candidate for this position will assist graduate students and postdocs in the Department of Radiology with animal studies and animal care; he or she will also assist with other research activities including maintaining laboratory space, ordering supplies, data acquisition and data analysis.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience,or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
