Job Summary: The Career Counselor is responsible for the career planning, career development and assessment review for Roosevelt's undergraduates, graduate students, postgraduate students and alumni. The Career Counselor provides career exploration, career counseling, workshop development and implementation, internship/job fairs, information panels, interview preparation, and job search strategy development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of 2 years experience working in career development or related field. Proven networking abilities to support program needs on and off campus. Excellent time management skills. Demonstrated knowledge of technological innovations in career development. Must be comfortable developing and delivering effective career planning and job search workshops with excellent presentation skills. Demonstrated writing skills to prepare grammatically correct correspondence and reports as well as critique students' resumes and cover letters. Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt's core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A positive and professional demeanor is a must. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. #CB
