The Miami University Regionals Grant and Development Writer contributes to the drafting and editing proposals to federal and state agencies and private foundations and prepares supporting documentation under the guidance of the Regional Director of Grant Development.

Duties/Physical Demands:

Work faculty and staff to determine their grant funding interests and needs and conduct research to identify prospective funding sources; work with the Director to coordinate overall grants administration with appropriate University offices, assure compliance with funder and University policies, track and present results of external funding efforts, and educate faculty and staff regarding external funding; produce newsletter content, including interviewing, researching, writing, editing, and proofing. As a member of the Regionals Advancement team, may staff occasional special events and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree; excellent writing, research, and organization skills; attention to detail; self-starter.
