This position is located on the Harrisburg Campus of Temple University. The Program Specialist is responsible for the processes that are significant to the operations of training, service and evaluation programs at Temple University Harrisburg. Performs under general supervision, complex and confidential services to ensure operations flow smoothly. Deals with a diverse group of external callers and visitors as well as internal team members at all levels. Tracks program participant applications, ensuring all documentation is submitted; maintains databases of program participants; ensures certificates and credentials are processed; directs preparation of records such as agenda, notices, memoranda, minutes and resolutions for meetings; composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents; assists in arranging detailed travel plans and itineraries, compiles documents for travel related meetings and trainings and accompanies trainer when requested. Prepares and reviews forms, policies and specialized reports. Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload, recommend changes in office practices and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience:

At least 2 years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

* Knowledge and experience related to training and curriculum development.

* Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications, general accounting and budgeting principles.

* Computer skills and related software applications.

* Ability to gather data to compile information and prepare reports, maintain accurate records and databases.

* Written and verbal effective communications skills.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities.

* Analyst and offer problem resolutions.

* Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.


* Bachelors Degree
