Oversee and provide leadership in facilitating complex administrative/business operations for award negotiation and acceptance, subaward processing and system set up components of Sponsored Project Administration. Influence and support University organizational processes and goals in the area of sponsored project awards, subawards, set up and research-related non-funded agreements. Supervise and coordinate administrative functions associated with award acceptance, subaward and set up specialists. Provide functional support and oversee continuous improvement activities for award acceptance and subaward issuance for sponsored projects. Serve as a liaison to internal and external constituents on complex internal/external policy, procedural and process information pertaining to the area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree and six years of government, non-profit or higher education experience required. Experience in complex research administration, grant and contract negotiation required. Budget building and spreadsheet proficiency required. Demonstrated customer service experience required. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written required. Analytical skills and effective presentation skills required. Experience in employee supervision required.
Desirable Qualifications Other Information
External candidates must complete a 6-month probationary period. A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees.
