The Department of Neurosurgery has an opening for a part-time Professional Research Assistant to conduct data management and data analysis for Neuroimaging data sets. The position is located at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Hours of work for this part-time position are between 20 and 30 hours per week (50%-75%FTE). Hours are generally 8:00 to 5:00 weekdays. Duties include managing several clinical trials with human research subjects, which may include performing the following skills: phlebotomy, vital signs, and ECGs; participating in study implementation activities such as subject identification, recruitment and consenting; assisting in the Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission and approval process; tracking and reporting study and patient enrollment efforts and status; participating in data entry and quality assurance activities; working with study sponsors and monitors; scheduling and managing visits for patients enrolled in clinical trials; submitting study revisions and maintenance applications to the IRB.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position requires bachelor's degree in neuroscience or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data analysis programming languages: Matlab, Python, or R preferred.


Applicants must have outstanding interpersonal skills, great attention to detail, work with colleagues and patients in a confidential and professional manner, experience Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access), and must be able to work well within a larger team.
