The Department of Biostatistics and Informatics has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Department Administrator.

Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field.
At the intermediate level, duties may be more limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals.
The Department Administrator for the Department of Biostatistics and Informatics at the Colorado School of Public Health, Anschutz Medical Campus will provide critical business and financial support to the Department by monitoring funds and budgets from different sources, assist with a variety of educational events, and support the day-to-day operations of the department, in conjunction with the department Chair. The position will work with department faculty, prospective faculty and students to support educational, research, and service activities, including scheduling meetings and seminars, ordering catering, plan travel, preparing expense reports, complete registrations for conferences, and purchasing books and computers. This position coordinates the Colorado Summer Institute in Biostatistics (CoSIBS) program that includes processing participant applications, managing travel, lodging, and other events duties. This position will serve as the primary liaison among departmental faculty and the other CSPH departments as well as other UCD organizational units.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position has been established at $37,000 to $50,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.

A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting , education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 1 year of professional level experience in administrative support.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
• Professional experience in University of Colorado systems such as Concur Travel and Expense System, CU Marketplace purchasing system, AMC Room and Resource Request System, and the UC Data finance reporting system.
• Three or more years of professional experience within a research or higher education setting.
• Experience with event planning
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
