UNTHSC is one of the nation's distinguished graduate academic health science centers, dedicated to education, research, clinical care and community engagement. UNTHSC has a number of interdisciplinary Health Institutes, the mission of which is to develop creative solutions to health problems through leading edge, interdisciplinary research. The TB-Clinical Research team conducts clinical trials in partnership with the CDC's Tuberculosis Trials Consortium.

Position Details
The Medical Education Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Clinical Research Coordinator I to join our team. The Clinical Research Coordinator I supports Principal Investigator and Research staff in the following areas that include, but are not limited to:

* Obtain and maintain informed consent, study participant education, study enrollment, data quality management, obtain blood samples, collect specimens, perform vital signs and other necessary tests, review medical history, maintain source documentation, create source documents and maintain study chart, schedule patients for follow-up visits.
* Conduct and document daily Direct Observed Therapy (DOT) visits for study participants.
* Frequently review DOT log for accurate documentation and compliance.
* At every clinic visit, review DOT doses given to study participants with the Project Manager.
* Conduct and oversee study-specific DOT training for non-study personnel.
* Maintain electronic binders.
* Participate in site training programs.
* Ability to travel and to work flexible schedule (if necessary).

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience in a clinical research setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Medical Assistant Certification
* Phlebotomy Experience
* Clinical Research experience
* Foreign Language Proficiency (Vietnamese/Spanish) is a plus
