Degree and Area of Specialization:
MA or MS in geography or related field required. Many fields are related to Geography, from History to Geology to Environmental Studies.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, fluency in Excel and the ability to use and learn other necessary software and systems. Proficiency in database management, and experience with data analysis and reporting preferred.
Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with curricular and instructional delivery activities in a university setting is strongly preferred, thus at least two years of work in a university setting is expected. Experience in coordinating a graduate program preferred.
The director is responsible for managing and meeting deadlines of time-sensitive work while balancing the broader duties of the position in an efficient and effective manner. This role is one that ebbs and flows; not every duty listed below occurs every day.
