POSITION: Assistant Professor of Theatre (Technical Theatre)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 	
MFA degree in Technical Theatre, Design and/or Production. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the degree by August 1, 2018.

Demonstrated potential for success in teaching technical theatre at the college level.

Demonstrated proficiency in industry standard software applications relevant to technical theatre.

Demonstrated potential for developing a strong record of professional achievement in Technical Theatre at a national/international level.

Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
	
DESIRED/PREFERRED			
QUALIFICATIONS:	
Demonstrated excellence in teaching a range of courses in Technical Theatre/Production at both undergraduate and graduate levels including: teaching computer software applicable to technical theatre,including 2D and 3D imaging and drafting programs such as Photoshop, VectorWorks and AutoCAD; and visualization programs such as WYSIWYG, Vision, and Light Converse.

Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of technical theatre skills which may include: costume crafts; costume construction; video design and projection; automated lighting programming; theatrical audio/video and electrical knowledge and experience; properties construction and design, materials and set construction, and rigging.

Demonstrated excellence in professional achievement in Technical Theatre, Production and/or related fields at a national/international level.

Conversant in new and emerging technologies pertinent to Technical Theatre.

Experience in any of the following: student mentoring, curriculum development, program coordination, committee work, or other service.
