-Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems in a commercial food service environment.
-Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in commercial food service equipment
-Skilled in the repair of commercial food service equipment
-Ability to read and interpret technical and repair manuals and schematics.
-Possess computer skills, including proficiency with email.
-Ability to complete electronic work orders & requisitions.
-Ability to perform basic math
-Ability to use trade-specific tools
Previous experience in higher education or government.
Previous experience in food service maintenance
Skill in working as a team member and communicating with a variety of management, technical & service personnel
Skill in establishing rapport with a variety of clients & co-workers
Responsible for providing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance repair services on university facilities and equipment.
Inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose food service equipment and facilities. Repair damaged or inoperable items in the food service facility including plumbing, electrical, steam and mechanical. Construct, fabricate and install fixtures, counter and walls. Install new appliances and equipment per manufacturer’s specifications.
