Northeast Texas Community College is searching for its next President. A progressive, rural college of about 3,000 students, Northeast seeks a dynamic leader to build upon a 33 year legacy of excellence. This is a unique opportunity to lead a small college that has its sights set on the big picture. Northeast is located centrally between Camp, Morris and Titus Counties in Northeast Texas (two hours east of Dallas) on a scenic 400+ acre campus. The college offers workforce certificates along with associate degrees, and has transfer agreements with numerous universities. Northeast recently completed a major campus wide renovation, which was made possible due to a successful bond initiative in 2015. The college offers modern student housing for up to 220 residents and offers five varsity sports options. Northeast is also home to a variety of unique instructional options, including the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program, which is named after the late auto racing legend who was a strong supporter of Northeast.
The President reports to the Board of Trustees. The overall job of the President is to define and articulate the mission of the college; develop meaningful goals; and then recruit the talent, build consensus, create the climate, and provide the resources to achieve them. The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in higher education.
