Emory University’s Goizueta Business School invites nominations and applications for the position of Executive Director of the MBA Career Management Center for both full-time and working professionals MBA programs. Career services plays an essential role in the student experience, mission fulfillment, and overall success of the School, and Goizueta seeks an adept and ambitious manager to lead this important division into a new chapter of continued accomplishment and innovation.

Business education has been an integral part of Emory University’s identity since 1919. The Goizueta Business School (GBS) offers a unique, community-oriented environment paired with the academic prestige and resources of a large, major research institution. Goizueta trains business leaders with an Undergraduate degree program (BBA), a Two-Year Full-Time MBA, a One-Year MBA, an Evening MBA, an Executive MBA (Weekend and Modular formats), an MS in Business Analytics, a Doctoral degree, and a portfolio of non-degree executive education courses. Together, the Goizueta community strives to solve the world’s most pressing business problems. The school is named for the late Roberto C. Goizueta, former Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company. Its small size coupled with its urban location in a major city with access to Atlanta area companies provides students a unique and rich educational experience.

The importance of career services to Goizueta’s mission and recent success cannot be understated. Goizueta’s high-touch educational and advising model has allowed the Career Management Center (CMC) to achieve truly exceptional career placement statistics for its MBA students. GBS has consistently placed in the top five business schools for career placement and was ranked number one in employment by Business Week for three years in a row, and the full-time MBA program is currently ranked 20th overall by US News & World Report, largely in part due to excellent student outcomes. The next Executive Director will be charged with maintaining this level of accomplishment while developing a new vision for the future of the CMC, continuing to innovate and adapt to changing employment markets and student expectations, advocate for GBS and the CMC both externally with employers and internally with other administrative units, and support and develop an already strong staff. Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean for Programs, the Executive Director will oversee a high-functioning team of 16 staff across four units (Full-Time MBA Advising, Working Professionals MBA Advising, Employer Relations, and Operations).
