MRI TECHNOLOGIST, University Research (9012/H2817)
Reporting to the Director and Associate Director/Senior Scientific Systems Architect of the new Cognitive Neuroimaging Center (CNC), the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist identifies and addresses issues related to safety, and is responsible for training users in MR safety, operation of the scanner, and usage of the CNC facilities.
The MRI Technologist will implement a qualification program and ensure that all users successfully complete training and abide by all CNC policies and procedures.
The MRI Technologist also maintains appropriate certification records, performs safety screenings on research subjects, prepares subjects for entry into the MR environment and scanner, monitors safety and comfort of research subjects, and advises researchers and trainees regarding issues pertaining to MR safety.
Associates or Vocational degree and Licensed clinical MRI technician or 5+ years of experience as a MRI research technician required.
