Duties: Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Communications, the Senior Associate Director of Development Communications provides persuasive writing in support of fundraising for Wharton External Affairs. This work includes: school-level cases for support; tailored and personalized proposals to individuals, foundations and corporations; and other development tools needed for cultivation and solicitation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in development/grant writing as well as experience in creating fundraising campaign messages.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent communications skills particularly in persuasive writing. Previous development/grant writing experience strongly preferred. Experience in higher education fundraising is also preferred. Ability to absorb and analyze information on a wide variety of complex topics. Advanced skills with Microsoft applications.
