Posting Summary:
The Cancer Center seeks a Research Administration Program Manager. This position provides support to the Director of Research Program Administration and Strategic Planning (RASP) in carrying out the mission of the Cancer Center through managing the operations of the RASP team and managing functions related to support of the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG). Managing the operations of the RASP team includes: 1. Human resource needs (recruitment, hiring, performance, engagement, and employee relations) in conjunction with School of Medicine HR; 2. Events (regular and special); 3. Supervision of administrative staff; 4. General maintenance and renovations of Cancer Center office and research space; 5. Internal and external communications including the research portions of the Cancer Center website. Managing the support functions for the CCSG includes: 1. CCSG activities; 2. Research initiatives; 3. Information gathering, organization, and reporting; 4. Reporting to the National Cancer Institute.

This position is restricted and contingent upon continuation of funding.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of two years of exempt level administrative experience performing administrative work in an academic or hospital setting supporting senior management is required. Previous supervisory experience is required and must be demonstrated in application materials.

10. Ability to act and prioritize tasks independently in a timely manner and to have independent decision-making skills by gathering information, and determining appropriate actions and responses.
11. Accurate and fast keyboarding skills, good spelling and grammatical skills, and attention to detail.
12. Ability to be flexible in managing a heavy workload with diverse responsibilities while meeting rigid deadlines.
13. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
14. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
15. Ability to conform to change and work as a team member on many tasks and projects.
