Job Description

**This position may be filled by any qualified applicant residing in the United States. Applicant must be willing to travel 10% annually.**

Position Summary

The position contributes to company success by managing the efficient, effective, and accurate migration of key contract data from the Client's repositories and/or softcopy contracts to a new cloud-based platform. Responsibilities include importing, configuring, and executing the contract extraction per client's accepted requirements. The Data Migration Analyst will be key leader in the analysis, design, and execution of the data migration strategy. You will be someone who can take initiative and proactively lead the data migration activities. Our ideal candidate will have significant exposure to data extraction, transformation, and load techniques over several years.

Summary of Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Capture contract data migration requirements and lead a requirement session for client to make educated decisions related to contract data migration needs and best practices

• Document information that is needed to be captured from legacy contracts and the tenets of how it should be systematically formatted into a cloud-based CLM for client acceptance

• Identify gaps or limitations from the collected client requirements and propose to client reasonable workarounds and fixes

• Translate legacy formats to to-be formats with direction provided by client in documented requirements

• Help identify systematic ways to capture contract relationships in client's provided metadata

• Analyze and interrogate data within data sources to help build load files for migration

• Review existing migration tools and provide recommendations for improving performance of the migration process

• Implement potential new tools, scripts, queries or applications for accessing, analyzing and migrating data

• Convert legacy contracts to OCR enabled files

• Manage and/or perform metadata extraction activities of legacy contracts

• Create an input file that meets requirements and the data migration requirements

• Load metadata, relationships, and related attachments into CLM test environment and prepare success logs

• Load metadata, relationships, and related attachments into the production environment after successful completion of testing in test environment and prepare success logs

• Iterative testing of migration progress to ensure efficient progress through to completion.

• Manage data migration workstream within the established project budgets, provide timely status reporting to the Project Manager and advise of any potential abnormality

• Identify data quality/integrity issues propose solutions and oversee their final resolution

• As part of the project closure, evaluate and make recommendations for future improvements

• Advise and assist project managers during implementations

• Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience working in data migration

• Experience performing data analysis / data cleansing

• Experience with data transformation and manipulation of large datasets

• Solid mathematical aptitude and effective project management skills

• Customer first mentality

• Strong background in functional analysis and requirements gathering, and solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)

• Ability to apply logical methods, approach problems creatively, analyze information and handle change and ambiguity

• Experience supporting multiple active projects

• Ability to work under strict deadlines, attention to detail to ensure that all data is properly cleansed

• Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and to collaborate as a member of the team

Advanced-level user of Database tools (SQL, MS Access) with ability to write SQL for data analysis

• Should have ability to write SQL statements, creating and running macros, creating macros for data transfer between Access and other applications

• Advanced-level user of MS Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX:MATCH, IF, LEN, RIGHT/LEFT, Fuzzy Lookup Add-in, Power Query Add-in, creating and running Macros)

• Advanced-level user of MS PowerPoint

• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills are required and must be able to interface well with the end-users and client

• Running Windows command scripts

• Salesforce Admin

• Ability to create input files meeting Salesforce Data Loader requirements with extraction data

• Familiar with Document Management and OCR Technology

• Machine Learning, Predictive Coding, and Data Analytics Technology (knowledgeable in F-Score, and Precision vs. Recall concepts)

• Knowledge of Relational Databases

• Preferred skills include data visualization, report writing, Salesforce development and experience working in or with contracts

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or any related field from an accredited institution
