Job Summary/Basic Function:
The department of Instrumental Studies is seeking a candidate whose duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate studio clarinet lessons and studio class.
- Supervising graduate degree requirements including supervision of dissertation documents.
- Recruiting highly qualified students.
- Participating fully in academic and professional activities including service assignments.
- Other duties may include, but are not limited to, coaching chamber music and teaching clarinet literature classes.

The College of Music, offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees to approximately 1,000 undergraduate and 500 graduate music majors, maintains nationally and internationally recognized programs in virtually all disciplines of music study, as well as one of the most comprehensive music libraries in the nation. Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence as a clarinet teacher and currently active performer. Proven record of attracting, developing, and retaining outstanding students. Demonstrated success in teaching at the college/university level. Master's degree required. Professional experience may be considered in place of earned degrees.

Preferred Qualifications:
Earned doctorate preferred.
