Job Summary/Basic Function:
The department of Instrumental Studies is seeking a candidate whose duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate studio clarinet lessons and studio class.
- Supervising graduate degree requirements including supervision of dissertation documents.
- Recruiting highly qualified students.
- Participating fully in academic and professional activities including service assignments.
- Other duties may include, but are not limited to, coaching chamber music and teaching clarinet literature classes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence as a clarinet teacher and currently active performer. Proven record of attracting, developing, and retaining outstanding students. Demonstrated success in teaching at the college/university level. Master's degree required. Professional experience may be considered in place of earned degrees.

Preferred Qualifications:
Earned doctorate preferred.
