Summary of Duties:
The position is located within the Johnson Hall Graduate Center, in the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS). The position reports directly to the Associate Dean of Academic Programs in CAHNRS. The Student Services Coordinator/Advisor is responsible for departments represented by the Graduate Center (Crop and Soil Sciences, Entomology, Food Science, Horticulture, and Plant Pathology) for pre and post-admission of graduate students, graduate program support and service, as well as curriculum functions of the Johnson Hall Graduate Center. The individual performs at a high level of accuracy and efficiency, and exercises independent judgement and complex problem solving skills related to the graduate programs served in the Johnson Hall Graduate Center, and best practices of the unit. This position independently interprets and advises on State, University, College, Graduate School and program rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Independent judgement will be necessary with each action in order to make determinations and advise that comply with these policies and procedures. Sharing in cross-training with other employees in the unit is expected.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.
