Job Description

Assistant Project Manager- This is an entry level position. We are seeking recent college graduates with a Building Construction or Engineering degree.

Commercial Construction

All Candidates shall be responsible for assisting and supporting the project management team in the overall coordination of the project planning and construction.

Specific Duties of the Assistant Project Manager

• Review Plans/Specifications and understand the scope of work required

• Assist in the preparation and distribution of bid packages. maintain tracking log

• Assist Project Manager in the development of long lead items - Include tracking and anticipated manufacturing and delivery dates

• Create / maintain project directories

• Maintain Submittal/RFI/Change Order/Substitution Logs using project management software

• Maintain all plan changes and scope of work documents throughout project duration

• Attend project meetings and create, distribute all meeting minutes throughout project duration

• Update and Monitor the project schedule as developed by the project management team

• Obtain and Monitor insurance certificates from all subcontractors on site throughout project duration

Qualifications / Requirements for Candidates

• Must be able to read and understand plans/specifications

• Must know CSI coding system

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Programs (including MS Project)

• Strong capability to communicate effectively both verbally and written

• Exceptional organizational skills with ability to execute

• Ability to work well with a team: exhibit strong listening skills, follow directions

• Demonstrate ability to think analytically and strategically

• Ability to multitask and manage, process information rapidity

• Drug testing required
