DIRECTOR OF ANIMAL IMAGING
Duties: The Director of Animal Imaging at CAROT will be in charge of designing and implementing retinal imaging procedures in preclinical studies as well as data image analyses. Thus, the individual will play a critical role in preclinical studies relevant to clinically relevant therapeutic reagents. Aside from having experience in specialized in vivo and in vitro imaging procedures focusing on studies of the retina, the individual should have extensive translational experience and should be familiar with the relevant regulatory requirements. The incumbent works with faculty in multiple different schools at Penn, independently, with feedback from Jean Bennett. The individual assists the various faculty members with designs of the studies, carries out, trouble-shoots, interprets the data, and writes up the results. The individual will also assist with writing and reviewing grants, progress reports and manuscripts.
Qualifications: Master's degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
