Advertised Job Summary: - Departmental leadership and administration, including supervision of a professional staff, budgeting, strategic planning, researching best practices and new trends in regards to the responsibilities of department, intercampus and USC system relationship building, and vendor management. - Responsible for leading the advancement and operations of Institutional Research and data which is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and providing data and information for administrative and academic decision making (includes: Reporting, Dashboard & Business Analytic Tools, Data Warehouse and Data Definitions, Factbook, Common Data Set and Data Dictionary and National External Reporting (i.e. U.S. News, Wintergreen). - Leads the collection and submission efforts for all external governmental and accreditation reporting as well as acts as the liaison to the USC System (SACS/CHE). - Accountable for University wide Business Efficiency projects. Directs the systems development, integration and business process review, design and automation efforts as well as the analysis, design, implementation, support, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise systems, dashboards and databases. - Manages projects and drives the implementation of new and redesigned tools, systems, processes, and audits to ensure institutional goals and compliance audits are achieved. - Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Data Services.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems or related field and 5 years experience in within or leading a team who performs institutional research, programming, process automation and application development, database management systems, and web technologies (Microsoft SQL is preferred); or equivalency. Three years management and supervisory experience required. Successful background check is required.
