Advertised Job Summary: - To work closely with the Vice Chancellor of University Advancement and the Spartans Athletic Director to raise the necessary private resources on an annual basis. - To meet goals for cultivation visits, solicitations, and gifts secured as established each fiscal year. - To design and implement successful fundraising campaigns, including the U Club initiative, to maximize private support for scholarship, programmatic, and capital projects. - To manage a prospect portfolio focused on building relationships with those who have an interest in and means to support Spartans Athletics by engaging and informing them of opportunities to support the University. - To coordinate outreach with the USC Upstate Office of University Advancement and University Marketing & Communications particularly as it relates to engaging Upstate alumni and friends who support Spartans Athletics. - To comply with all fundraising policies, guidelines and regulations as outlined by NCAA Division I athletics, AFP, CASE and other field leaders. - To represent USC Upstate Athletics at home and away sporting events, particularly when there is an opportunity to cultivate prospective donors or steward existing donors. - Other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor of University Advancement or the Athletic Director in coordination with University Advancement.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, or business development. Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed. Valid drivers license, good driving record and successful background check are required.
