Job Summary Individual will work under the direction of the Senior Farm Manager to provide leadership and oversight of farm operations with the Animal & Dairy Sciences Department on the Tifton Campus. This will include daily supervision of farm unit employees and farm operations; work with faculty and staff to facilitate research; maintain farm and CNMP records; and assist with hiring, training, and evaluation of staff. This individual will work with the Senior Farm Manager to develop and implement plans for producing forage to support beef and dairy units; renovation of pastures/hay fields; managing soil fertility; irrigation; weed control; and improvements to infrastructure and equipment. Individual should have experience in forage production including silage and hay production; weed/pest control; general equipment operation; maintenance and repair. Minimum Qualifications Completion of college level course work from an accredited college or university equivalent to a master's degree with major course work in Agronomy or other crop sciences, and extensive experience in farm management; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Possession of a valid State of Georgia pesticide applications license.
