The Leeds School of Business is a recruiting Director, Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Program/Finance Teaching Faculty for Fall 2018 (or sooner). Job duties include both directing the PFP program and teaching in the Leeds School.

Job Duties to include:

Teaching, Finance Faculty
• Teaching finance curriculum (undergraduate, graduate, or certificate level) as assigned by the Chair, Finance Division

• Any other duties associated with an Instructor/Senior Instructor appointment (service, etc)

Director, Personal Financial Planning Program

Help create program consistency and continuity
o Work with faculty to deliver high quality, consistent courses
o Identify and promulgate "best practices" in teaching methodologies for PFP/CFP courses
o Conduct faculty meetings to review approaches and discuss quality improvement in program
o Help with student issues and/or complaints related to academics

Curriculum support and development
o Maintain a model to forecast enrollment and course sections needed in all PFP/CFP courses and notify Division Chair accordingly
o Review and report FCQ and grade summary of PFP/CFP courses

o Meet with Division Chair each term to review program activities

Point of contact for CFP Board of Standards
o Serve as registered program director to the CFP Board
o Maintain program approvals with the Board
o Participate in the annual Board conference for CFP program directors
o Be point of contact for CFP Board correspondence as well as provide required program/data reporting to the Board


Participate in marketing and recruitment efforts
o Work with development office to market program and find sponsors and donors
o Attend all meetings needed for recruitment for the program
o Work with undergrad advising to deliver PFP/CFP program information and advising


Point of contact for Schwab grant and relationship
o Update Schwab periodically on program development
o Work with Schwab on educational program for their work force
o Work with Leeds scholarship office and Schwab to award scholarships to appropriate students

Coordinating student professional development
o Work with Leeds staff and community practitioners to maintain networking opportunities for Leeds PFP students
o Work with mentoring office and area practitioners to provide appropriate mentoring for PFP students
o Work with career advising to help provide PFP specific internships as well as career advice and job opportunities


Planner community outreach
o Maintain contact list of community/practitioner supporters
o Help development with sponsorship and donors
o Solicit and develop adjunct faculty

New program development
o Direct development of the recently approved "Graduate Certificate Program for Personal Financial Planning", in conjunction with Schwab partners
o Evaluate the potential for offering an MS Finance track in Personal Financial Planning

Help manage student information system
o Help establish a proper database for PFP/CFP students with staff assistance
o Assist with budgeting and financial results of program
o Develop end-of-program activities, ceremonies, graduation
o Provide regular reports of CFP program activities and financials to administration
o Provide required data to CFP Board

o Develop performance metrics (grades, course progress, CFP exam scores, employment) for the PFP/CFP program and report results periodically


Qualifications

Preferred Prior Experience

Master's or Doctoral degree

University level teaching experience

CFP® certification

Financial planning practitioner experience

Experience directing CFP® registered programs (undergraduate, certificate, master's)

Experience teaching both on-line as well as classroom formats
