Position Summary

The successful candidate will coordinate human resources operational functions for the unit; maintains and recommends updates to departmental job descriptions and related task information; assists supervisory personnel in developing and maintaining performance management information; serves as a liaison between departmental supervisory personnel and administrative head on human resources matters; prepares and assists in preparing reports; maintains or increases human resources knowledge through coursework, attendance at workshops and seminars, or outside reading; participates in special projects and committees; performs and assists in performing general administrative activities as assigned

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in human resources, a related social science field, or a field related to the operations of the department; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a human resources function or an area related to departmental operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
