The Department of Psychology seeks applicants for a 9 month, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Developmental Psychology. Area of specialization is open, however the hired candidate will be expected to teach and supervise student research in adolescent development. The department has over 500 undergraduate majors, 130 graduate students, and 30 full-time faculty members. The successful applicant will be expected to teach developmental courses for both graduate and undergraduate students, supervise master’s-level theses and other graduate student projects, and generate and sustain a program of research. Applicants must also be open to teaching at all levels based on department needs and have a record indicating the foundation of a strong program of research.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law. Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. (or ABD with Ph.D. imminent) in Developmental Psychology or closely related field. The position begins August 16, 2018. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
