Stanford's Department Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (“DAPER”) supports the nearly 900 student-athletes who compete on the 36 intercollegiate athletic teams sponsored by the university. It also supports the campus physical education, recreation and wellness initiatives. Stanford's intercollegiate athletics department is seen as the premier athletic program in the country, achieving the highest levels of success both in the classroom and on the field. Currently, the Athletics Department is seeking applicants for the position of Scheduling and Administrative Coordinator, Operations.

Stanford University's Athletic Department seeks candidates with outstanding professionalism and office support skills. The position reports to the Assistant Athletics Director: Operations and Events. The Scheduling and Administrative Coordinator will be expected to develop a comprehensive knowledge of all scheduling aspects including but not limited to: varsity schedules, contracts, monthly schedules, university events and golf carts. The Scheduling and Administrative Coordinator will also have responsibilities on football game days as well as other outside events that may take place throughout the course of the year.

  • Two plus years of scheduling experience.
  • Familiarity with and/or ability to learn UBER scheduling.
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce error-free work in a variety of functions such as typing, text editing, data entry, and calculations.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of personal computer operating systems, including databases and spreadsheet software. Proficiency in the use of word processing programs and calendar programs. Ability to work comfortably in a highly automated environment using complex information systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflow and coordinate schedules of others.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and desire to assist others
  • Ability to listen and speak well; courteous telephone manner; ability to represent the office professionally to wide range of people.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and flexibility when handling changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Good judgment; ability to handle confidential information and carry out tasks in a tactful and professional manner.
  • High energy with the ability to be resourceful and take initiative, in addition to executing assigned tasks.
  • The capability to work with minimal supervision and work independently when needed.
  • Flexibility to work overtime on an occasional basis.
