The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia seeks a highly organized, energetic professional for the position of Assistant Director, Graduate Admissions. This key member of the Marketing and Admissions Team will report to the Director, Graduate Admissions & Financial Aid. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a team environment, be detail oriented, and have the ability to work with confidential admissions information in a timely and sensitive manner.
The Assistant Director will manage the overall admissions process for one or more graduate programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, evaluating candidates; conducting evaluative interviews; communicating with applicants, recruiters, and faculty involved in the admissions process; evaluating and awarding scholarship funds; and maintaining and updating the admission system. Strong written and oral communication skills, organization and planning skills and an understanding of the graduate admissions cycle are required. The successful candidate must also demonstrate proficiency with office technologies, especially a CRM system. Outstanding customer service skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and a desire to work with a diverse group of internal and external constituencies is required.
