Assistant Athletic Director for Advancement/Major Gifts
The primary focus will be to engage constituent members and prospects via face-to-face meetings, group settings, and events. This position works closely with athletic advancement staff, IMG employees, ticket office and coaches to create opportunities to engage donors.
The employee will be expected to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide variety of constituents. This position requires a high energy level, unquestioned integrity and fiscal accountability, and the ability to plan and achieve short- and long-range fundraising goals. The Assistant AD for Advancement/Major Gifts Officer will be an ambassador for the University and its mission.Bachelor's degree required from a four-year accredited college or university, preferably in business, communications, or sport management. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of two to four years of direct fundraising experience asking for and closing gifts at the $25,000+ level required.
Preference for candidates with:
- Experience fundraising within higher education and at an NCAA institution.
- Understanding of gift planning techniques and IRS rules for gifts in all categories.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules, and working knowledge of intercollegiate athletics.
