Advertised Job Summary
The Leadership Coach is involved in a wide range of program planning and execution, group leadership training, and individual coaching and consultation with student leaders and student organizations to challenge students to engage in leadership development, community engagement and responsible citizenship. This role is also responsible for collecting, organizing and distributing data to assess and evaluate the programs and events in order to support the long term strategic goals of the department. This includes developing budgets and monitoring spending using university accounting tools. This position may include supervision of graduate students, student employees and interns.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience, or bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience.
Evening and weekend work is required. Driver's license, clean driving record and ability to drive 7 and 15 passenger vans required.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of the basic principles and theories of student development, leadership theory and public relations. Ability to interact with internal constituents and community partners on regular basis. Experience planning and executing special events and one-time programs. Ability to interpret and apply policy and procedure as it applies to program coordination. Coordinate multiple high level events simultaneously. Ability to develop budgets and monitor expenditures.
