Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 	
A Ph.D. in kinesiology, exercise science, or related field with a specialization in exercise physiology. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2018. Demonstrated potential for effective teaching in exercise physiology and related courses. Demonstrated potential for research, scholarly, and creative activities. A working knowledge of equipment, computer hardware, software, and instructional technologies used in exercise physiology laboratories. Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.

	
DESIRED/PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:	
Teaching experience in exercise physiology at both the undergraduate and graduate level at a four-year college. Ability to teach applied courses in exercise physiology and strength and conditioning. Additional teaching experience at the undergraduate level in at least one of the following areas: motor learning, measurement and statistics, biomechanics, strength and conditioning and/or fitness. Evidence of a current research agenda in exercise physiology. Record of grant writing/support and collaboration in completing research, scholarly and creative activities. Experience in the exercise physiology laboratory including equipment procurement, maintenance, inventory control, and supervising graduate assistants and teaching associates. Certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS, CPT) or American College of Sports Medicine (RCEP, CES or other).
