Faculty Position and Program Director, Emergency Health Services
The Department of Clinical Research and Leadership at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences seeks an individual to serve as the academic director of the Emergency Health Services (EHS) program. This full-time (12 month), non-tenure track faculty position will be filled at the rank of assistant/associate/full professor. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our program is located in the heart of Washington, DC and provides a dynamic academic environment that fosters collaborative educational and research initiatives and interprofessional approaches to training health care professionals.
Responsibilities include developing and teaching online, face to face, and blended undergraduate and graduate courses that prepare students to lead efforts to improve the quality of out-of-hospital care provided to patients needing emergency care; providing oversight to the academic program, clinical training, certification, marketing, and outreach; engaging in scholarly activities; assessing student learning outcomes; advising and mentoring students; and providing service at the university, community and professional level.
Basic Requirements: Terminal Degree (such as PhD, EdD, DSci, MD) in healthcare or related field at time of appointment and evidence of active scholarship in your area of expertise.
