Job Title: Outpatient Program Director
Reports To: Chief Clinical Officer
About the CLARE Foundation: CLARE Foundation is a nonprofit organization providing compassionate treatment and recovery services for alcoholism and substance abuse to individuals, families, and the community.
Summary: The Out Patient Manger will provide day to day operation of the program services. He or she will supervise staff to conduct individual monitoring and group workshops.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Oversee clients day to day operations and services
Supervise and monitor the following, but are not limited to:
- Staff Supervision
- Quality Assurance
- Contract Compliance
- Staff Training
- Conduct Staff Meetings
- Confirm participant progress through staff files
- Attend Community meetings
Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of CLARE's mission, vision, & philosophy and support these tenets at all times while conducting agency business. Contribute to a healthy work environment and actively participate in meetings and team-building activities. Communicate on a direct and timely basis about needs and problems as they arise.
Ensure standards of conduct are upheld to CLARE standards
Ensure health and safety regulations are upheld to CLARE standards
Develop and grow CLARE's Outpatient program attendance and revenue
Manage day-to-day operations of the Outpatient Department
Work with government monitors, contracting agencies, and project administrators on contract compliance
Oversee billing and monitor government contracts, including SASCA, Drug Court, Drug Medi-Cal, GR, DUI, and homeless services contracts
Monitor the maintenance of files and records in the Outpatient Department, including conducting regular audits
Oversee preparation all reports for appropriate agencies or contracts and coordinate with CLARE Contract Administrator to ensure accuracy
Collaborate with partner agencies and community members
Participate in community outreach for the Outpatient Department as needed
Research new funding opportunities and contracts as needed
Monitor developments of the Affordable Health Care Act and the impact on CLARE and the Outpatient Department as it pertains to departmental changes
Supervise Outpatient Staff
Coordinate and manage department budget
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of Substance Use Disorders with at least three to five years of supervision experience. In addition, the following are strongly desired:
- A passion for the mission, vision and values of the CLARE Foundation
- In-depth knowledge of treatment approaches, evidence based practices and assessment standards
- Demonstrate the highest possible level of professional ethical standards and integrity
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Demonstrated dynamic leadership skills and the ability to supervise a multi-cultural staff
- LMFT/LCSW/PhD required. Must be licensed long enough to provide clinical supervision
- Knowledge and experience working with insurance is a plus
The ideal candidate will have counseling experience in a substance abuse treatment center setting.
