The Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the Curry School of Education seeks highly qualified applicants for a Teacher Intervention Specialist Intermediate. The Teacher Intervention Specialist Intermediate serves as a direct coach working with teacher learning groups by training and supporting facilitators of those groups. The incumbent plays a major role in developing intervention materials and manuals, conducts teacher recruitment, collaborates on initial facilitator training workshops, and provides ongoing consultation to learning groups as they develop and implement MTP-Team. Duties also include completing reviews of facilitator lead sessions and conducting focus group and one-on-one interviews with participating teachers.

A bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or a related discipline is required. A minimum of three years' experience in the study or development of effective teaching practices is required, as is a minimum of two years' experience in project design and implementation. A master's degree is preferred and may substitute for experience. Substantial knowledge and skills in education research methods is required. The ability to train and direct the work of others is essential, as are strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently as well as within a diverse and interdisciplinary team are also required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), data software such as SPSS, and use of the internet is required.

This is a restricted position and continuation is dependent on funding and performance.
