The Department of Neurosciences seeks an Assistant to support the BIG Center and the departmental faculty and staff. It requires someone with great customer service skills who can think on his/her feet and react accordingly. This is a busy and growing department, so the challenges are many.
Duties include, but are not limited to: time keeping, arranging for travel for seminar speakers, providing clerical duties to the Department Chair and Director of the BIG Center, assisting with purchasing for eight labs, and producing reports from electronic files. Good computer skills and the ability to work with both Windows and Apple machines are a must.
The successful applicant will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of administrative experience including, but not limited to, general office duties, making travel arrangements, and providing administrative support. An associate's degree is preferred. A bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.
This position is restricted and contingent on funding.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

5. Good computer skills.
6. Knowledge of both APPLE computers and Windows machines.
