The School of Business Undergraduate Career Development Office (UCDO) is seeking a part-time Recruitment Coordinator (Administrative Services Assistant 3, UCP 4). The incumbent will report to the Assistant Director of the UCDO and will assist in managing various administrative functions of the office, coordinate and execute student recruitment events and interview schedules with corporate partners and serve as an initial point of contact for students, alumni, employers, faculty and staff of the Undergraduate Career Development Office. The position will be based at the Storrs campus. Occasional in-state travel to the University's regional campuses may be required in support of program activities. Evening and weekend hours will also be required on occasion in support of program events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing office management duties and handling the processing of administrative and personnel paperwork.
  • Serving as first point of contact for students, alumni, employers, faculty and staff to the Undergraduate Career Development Office.
  • Coordinating logistics for employer, recruiter and student appointments at all School of Business locations on behalf of the UCDO.
  • Coordinating recruiter visits at the School of Business; scheduling interviews and rooms; preparing meeting space.
  • Planning, coordinating and executing UCDO recruiting events and meetings.
  • Serving as a resource to students, recruiters, staff, faculty and others; responding to employer and student inquiries.
  • Assisting with the conceptualization, design and production of promotional materials and communications.
  • Reviewing and updating the UCDO website; promoting the UCDO to students, recruiters and others using social media.
  • Processing fiscal paperwork such as travel authorizations and expense reimbursements, purchase order requests, supply orders, etc.
  • Maintaining and monitoring UCDO budget.
  • Updating and maintaining UCDO customer relationship management applications, etc.; compiling data for surveys and other reporting needs.
  • Training, supervising and establishing the work schedules of student staff as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four to eight years in a progressively responsible administrative position.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to build rapport and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, administrators, business leaders, external agencies/groups and the public.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including business-writing skills as evidenced by application documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience with event planning, coordination and execution.
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making skills and the ability to independently take action in resolving administrative matters while exhibiting sound professional judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint and willingness to learn other software applications as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience with maintaining a high level of confidentiality in regard to personal and/or financial details.
  • Willingness and ability to work some irregular, flexible hours and travel in-state as necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate recruitment or a higher education career office.
  • Demonstrated experience using a recruiting management system or similar systems.
  • Proven experience using Aurora WordPress or similar web development applications.
  • Proven experience using Kuali or similar financial management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using social media as a recruitment or business tool.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a diverse student population including students from other cultures and nationalities.

This is a part-time (75%) position based in Storrs.
