Assistant/Associate Professor in the Center for Molecular Medicine

Job Summary: The University of Georgia announces openings for up to two tenure track faculty positions in its new Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM). The CMM will be located in a purpose-built research facility due for completion in the Summer of 2017 (http://cmm.uga.edu). The CMM is dedicated to better understanding the molecular and cellular basis of human disease and translating this into new diagnostics and therapeutics. To advance this mission, we are currently seeking applications from outstanding investigators at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates with interests in the following areas are encouraged to apply: * molecular, cellular and developmental models for human disease * regenerative medicine, tissue repair and tissue engineering * cancer and stem cell biology * drug discovery in human disease Applicants at the Assistant level must have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent), at least two years relevant postdoctoral research experience, an outstanding publication record, and a well-developed research plan. Applicants at the Associate level should additionally have an already established, well-funded, and impactful research program. The successful candidates will be expected to establish a vibrant, extramurally funded research program.
