University of North Texas - Administrative Specialist II

The TAMS-Dean's Off Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist II to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Assist all students and their families with their request. * Runs reports, assist with purchasing reconciliation. * Charged with the safety and security of all guest entering McConnell Hall during business hours, runs errands on campus, and interfaces with UNT Housing, Assignments, Dining, Wellness Center, and Rec Center. There are 19 live in part time and 4-5 part time staff that work with the front desk at various times. This position will assist the live in staff with the functioning of the building. The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and two years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.* Skill in evaluating facts or situation to route calls/customers appropriately.* Basic MS Office skills.* Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers.* Skill in filing and recordkeeping.* Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.* Skill in basic math.* Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.
