Videographer / Communications Associate
The Public Health Videographer/Communications Associate will play a key role in conceptualizing, creating, executing and delivering strategic videography, still photography, web-based and additional media communication programs and materials for the Fielding School of Public Health. He/she will be responsible for meeting with faculty and staff to learn about and track school initiatives and research, producing stories in multiple formats, including shooting and editing videos about the initiatives and research, disseminating the news to local and global audiences, adding new dynamic elements to FSPH's vibrant online presence and positioning the Fielding School as a go-to resource for public health issues. This is an opportunity for someone who is creative, highly organized, and cares about public health.
The Public Health Videographer/Communications Associate will work in collaboration with staff in the Communications Office, Development & Alumni Affairs, Dean's Office, as well as faculty and staff to ensure more effective communication across the school, with donors, alumni and the general public. Core assignments include: producing online content including shooting and editing video, photography and writing online articles; managing photography assets for the school's magazine, overseeing the organization and management of the school's visual archive and assisting a broad range of Communications Office projects including social media, public relations and more. Requirements of the position include videography and photography skills, shooting, lighting and editing, and a thorough understanding of and insight into the social media landscape Excellent writing skills appropriate for the web, experience with video and photography production, creation of content, and a high level of organization are required.

- Proficiency in web content programs and knowledge of social media platforms. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Power Point, Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly, accurately, and with attention to detail.
- Strong and demonstrated ability to shoot, produce, and edit video and photos.
- Skill in communicating effectively verbally and in writing with individuals and groups.
- Willingness to assist, in a support capacity, Communications Office programs and efforts as needed.
- Must be able to assist with evening events as necessary.
