Employee Relations Manager
The Employee Relations Manager reports directly to the Executive Director of Human Resources and provides support for the management of compliance related to college policy and procedures, personnel practices and local, state and federal laws. Provide advice and counsel to management staff and employees for any issues that arise in support of the college's core values, employee engagement initiatives,employee relations and college policies and procedures.
Support the college's employee engagement initiatives by building relationships with all employees to foster a more open, respectful, inclusive and team-oriented environment. Develop, recommend and implement methods to enhance employees' connections to their departments and the college, collaboration with management staff and other employees, and cultivation of recognition and professional development in order to increase engagement.
Conduct internal investigations as directed by the Title IX Coordinator or Title IX Deputy Coordinator related to complaints filed under the Harassment, Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Policy, Title IX, other harassment or discrimination complaints and non-union employee grievances.
Serve as an internal resource for employees with general personnel policies and procedures regarding employee relations, handbook provisions and non-union grievances.

Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources.
Five years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources including experience in addressing employee relations and other HR compliance issues required. Experience with collective bargaining desirable.
Two years supervisory and/or project management experience required.
Experience conducting harassment and/or discrimination investigations desirable.
Working knowledge of HRIS databases, Microsoft Office suites, electronic mail and electronic calendar programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication, human relations and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and interact with all levels of college employees in a professional, respectful and confidential manner.
